Sunil Wadhwani is the CEO and Co-Founder of iGATE Corporation. Through his vision and leadership iGATE Corporation, listed on Nasdaq, is a zero debt company with revenues of $ 293 million in 2002. He was instrumental in iGATE being listed four times in Inc. magazine's ranking of the fastest-growing companies in the US. He has led the launch of 15 new IT services businesses, all developed around strategies that served emerging technology market needs.
A successful entrepreneur, Sunil holds a master's degree in Management from Carnegie-Mellon University and is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai. Sunil serves on the Board of Directors of Carnegie-Mellon University and the Information Technology Association of America.
Ashok recognized the role technology would play in the creation of a "global marketplace." He was instrumental in making iGATE Corporation a $293 million company, in 2002, with a presence in 15 countries around the world.
Ashok has been awarded honors for his entrepreneurship by Ernst & Young, Inc. magazine, the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association, the American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin, the Association of Indians in America, and Robert Morris College.
Ashok holds a Master's in Business Administration from Ohio University and a Masters and Bachelors in Physics from Delhi University. He has also attended the Owner/President Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
Phaneesh Murthy
President and CEO, iGATE Corporation
Phaneesh Murthy is the President and CEO of iGATE Corporation, an integrated consulting, technology and operations company. Phaneesh was formerly a member of the Board, Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing, and Head of Communications and Product Solutions group for Infosys. He was responsible for ramping up Infosys from around $2mn in 1992 to around $700 mn in 10 years. He founded Quintant, a pioneer of Business Services Provisioning with a global services model in 2002. Phaneesh has considerable expertise in growing large organizations, and putting in place the infrastructure to scale. He brings over a decade of experience in structuring and managing large outsourcing deals for Fortune 500 companies.
Phaneesh worked in the product space in Sonata prior to Infosys and is a graduate of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
Michel Berty, one of the directors at iGATE Corporation, is the owner of MBY Consultant, Inc., which provides IT consulting and services. He has just been appointed Chairman/CEO of Security Biometrics (SBTI Nasdaq) which specializes in signature recognition. He is also the U.S. President of PAC US, a European consulting firm specializing in IT strategy and market surveys. Prior to this, Mr. Berty was the founder, Chairman and CEO of Cap Gemini America, the American subsidiary of one of the largest IT consulting and services firms in the world, and one of the top executives of the Cap Gemini Group for 25 years.
Mr. Berty is a director of companies such as Merant and Sapiens (both Nasdaq), Buysmart and Netgain, to name a few.
He was also a board member of The French Trade Center, the Conseillers du Commerce Exterieur (CCE) in Paris, and the French American Chamber of Commerce in New York. He has 30 years of experience in various aspects of IT consulting and services. Educated in France, he holds a PhD in physics from the Sorbonne and an MBA.
J. Gordon Garrett, one of the directors of iGATE Corporation, is the CEO of Interloci. Prior to this, he was the senior vice president and chief executive officer of Ricoh Corporation and Ricoh Canada respectively. Prior to this, Mr. Garrett was the chairman of the Board, chief executive officer and president of Information Management Systems, the outsourcing company acquired by IBM Corporation. He has also held the position of President of Gestetner USA

Edward Yourdon
Independent Software Engineering Consultant
Edward Yourdon, one of the Directors of iGATE Corporation, is credited with having invented much of modern software engineering in the 1970s. He has produced many books over the past 20-plus years, many of them reporting on the latest trends in this field. Some of his books are Decline & Fall of the American Programmer(1992), Rise & Resurrection of the American Programmer (1996), and finally his most recent offering, Death March: The Complete Software Developer's Guide to Surviving 'Mission Impossible' Projects (3,400 words). In his most recent, Death March, he renounces many of the formalisms he created two decades ago, saying that they are irrelevant in today's Internet-speed world.
Ed is widely known as the lead developer of the structured analysis/design methods of the 1970s. He was a codeveloper of the Yourdon/Whitehead method of object-oriented (OO) analysis/design and the popular Coad/Yourdon OO methodology.
He has extensive experience in identifying and providing business continuity planning (BCP) solutions for clients throughout the world. His clients include major organizations in the financial services, hospitality, and food and beverage industries, as well as the government sector. Ed focuses on issues of business/IT alignment; mitigating risks of large outsourcing initiatives; auditing of large, risky projects; development and implementation of e-business initiatives; as well as forecasting and tracking critical business/IT "megatrends".
Ed began his career in the computer industry at Digital Equipment Company more than 35 years ago. During his career, he has been involved in a number of pioneering computer technologies, such as time-sharing operating systems and virtual memory systems. In 1974, he founded YOURDON, Inc. to provide educational, publishing, and consulting services in state-of-the-art software engineering technology. As CEO, he oversaw an operation that trained more than 250,000 people around the world. YOURDON, Inc. was sold in 1986 and eventually became part of CGI, the French software company that is now part of IBM. The publishing division, YOURDON Press (now part of Prentice Hall), has produced more than 150 technical computer books on a wide range of software engineering topics.
He was an advisor to Technology Transfer's research project on software industry opportunities in the formerSoviet Unionand was a member of the expert advisory panel on I-CASE acquisition for the US Department of Defense. He was a member of the Airlie Software Council.
Ed is the author/coauthor of more that 25 computer books, as well as more than 525 technical articles since 1967. He is a member of the board of iGATE Corporation and iGATE Global Solutions.
Goran Lindahl
Former CEO and President of the global technology and engineering group ABB
Göran Lindahl was the CEO and President of the global technology and engineering group ABB headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland from January 1, 1997 to December 31, 2000, and spent more than thirty years in various positions within ABB. He earned a Masters degree in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1971. Mr. Lindahl is the Chairman of IKEA GreenTech AB and LivSafe Group. In addition, Mr. Lindahl is a Member of the Sony Corporation International Advisory Board and he serves on the Board of Directors of INGKA Holding BV (IKEA) and various other private non-public companies and advisory boards.
